Librex Document Capture

Librex-Capture-FunctionalitWhether you want to scan paper documents or capture electronic ones to store them into your ECM system, Librex offers you a unified way to treat your documents. Having a unified way to capture any of your documents allows you to always have the same business logic applied to all your documents.

Librex also gives legal value to your documents. Every operation is tracked and documented and you will always be able to retrieve the whole history and lifecycle of a document in Librex. You will also be able to generate reports for every operation taking place in the system, allowing you for example to see how many documents were scanned and indexed by a specific user for a specific date range.

Capture Options

Scanning: Librex supports all major scanner vendors through the TWAIN interface. Librex also offers scanning options like blank pages detection and removal, borders removal and masking, despeckle and deskew.

Email: Automatically import your emails by redirecting an email inbox to Librex for processing, or import them manually using our Outlook plug-in.

Fax reception: Receive your faxes in the LibrexFax client interface. Then, decide whether you want to delete them, print them, send them by e-mail or fax or transfer them to Librex for treatment and archival.

Virtual Printers: Print to Librex from any application that can print (manually or by a system). Your documents will be converted to PDF format and kept in Librex. You can also print from your AS400 system.

Manual File Importation: Import any electronic document through Librex manual importation window. Then, you will be able to index them manually or through built-in automatisms.

Automatic Importation Folders: Drop (manually or by a system) any electronic document into a defined Librex importation folder and the document will be automatically added to Librex.

Web Services: Librex web service API allows you to connect directly your system and build a complete integration for your documents and their metadata. The API allows you to send documents to Librex, or to read documents from Librex.

Metadata Extraction Functionalities / AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT PROCESSING

Capture Workflow: You may define many steps to your capture workflow, for example having a first step to scan by a specific group of users, a second step to index them by another group and a third step where the system will also send specific documents though e-mail, printer or fax.

OCR/OMR: Extract automatically the text from your documents to store it as metadata and use it for your business rules. Also, recognize marks and images to automatically detect document types.

Barcode/Patch code: Read most types of barcodes and patch codes to automatically index and categorize your documents.

Conversion and validation functions: Those functions are ready to use and enable you to extract structured data. Some examples: find text using an approximate search, find the highest amount on a page, find a tax number, extract a purchase order number based on a data pattern, find and convert a date, convert to lowercase and uppercase, separate the data per lines and columns...

Java Advanced Scripts: Combine any automatism with a Java script to do advanced indexing. For example, you could extract an ID using OCR and then add a Java script to go verify this ID validity in another system.
